Thermal conductive silicone grease has been widely used in automotive LED headlights.
Today, the cost of automotive electronic products accounts for about 30-40% of the total vehicle cost, and this figure is still rising steadily. These electronic products include not only functional components, such as engine control unit, brake system and transmission system control device, but also entertainment and navigation components. The recent explosive growth in the use of LED technology also illustrates this point. For example, in Europe, all new cars must be equipped with daytime running lights, and LED has become a lighting technology because of its low power consumption and high efficiency, which also provides a greater market space for the application of thermal conductive silicone grease in automobile LED headlights and taillights.
Because the LED will constantly emit heat, and the LED shade is getting smaller and smaller. With the continuous improvement of brightness and power, LEDs (such as car headlights) closely arranged together cannot be cooled by fans. Therefore, the performance is bound to be affected. When the LED exceeds the critical junction temperature, two problems occur. First, the LED will dim and the color will change. Secondly, if the temperature continues to be too high, their service life will be shortened, and then they will be scrapped prematurely. Secondly, there is a very important factor that causes the LED light to fade. That is the reason for the thermal conductive silicone grease used on the LED. The traditional thermal conductive silicone grease contains low molecular siloxane components, and the low molecular siloxane will produce volatiles with the rise of temperature and the extension of service time, thus causing the LED light to fade and atomize, affecting the service life of the LED light.
Thermal conductive silicone grease is very important in the application of automotive LED headlights. Good thermal design is critical to efficient thermal management. At present, for the heat dissipation design of automobile headlights, the application of AOK thermal conductive silicone grease in this product is very mature. Thermal conductive silicone grease has the characteristics of no low molecular siloxane, no silicone oil, no pollution, no volatilization, ultra-low thermal resistance and high temperature resistance, which greatly solves the heating and cooling problems of products. In addition, for the heat dissipation of automobile lamps, in addition to the problems of light brightness reduction and atomization after long-term application of heat conductive silicone grease, the traditional heat conductive silicone grease is also prone to pulverization and drying after long-term use, which has a serious impact on the quality of customers' products!
